The Upper East Side of Manhattan is my home away from home. Wandering the neighborhood, I’ve often admired the iconic wrought iron doors on some of the exclusive residences. All unique, with amazing craftsmanship, and simply beautiful to me. Capturing them in a unique way was the challenge. In the midst of the pandemic, while walking home from Central Park on a cold January night, I finally saw the missing element to highlight the doors. The answer was the dedicated Doormen who stand constant watch.
